Secret cultism in Nigerian schools has become a pervasive issue with far-reaching consequences. This research aims to explore the various faces and dangers associated with secret cultism in Nigerian schools. The study will investigate the historical roots of secret cultism in Nigeria, tracing its evolution from a platform for political agitation to a breeding ground for violence and criminal activities. Through a combination of literature review and field research, this study will delve into the different types of secret cults present in Nigerian schools, examining their initiation processes, organizational structures, and activities. By understanding these aspects, the research seeks to provide insights into the motivations driving individuals to join secret cults and the factors contributing to the perpetuation of cultism on campuses. Furthermore, the research will highlight the dangers posed by secret cultism in Nigerian schools, focusing on the negative impact on academic performance, student well-being, and overall campus safety. The study will also explore the role of secret cults in perpetuating corruption, violence, and social unrest in Nigerian society, shedding light on the broader implications of cult activities beyond the campus environment.
