This research project aims to address this pressing issue by exploring innovative design approaches that can enhance the sustainability and resilience of urban housing developments. The study begins with an in-depth examination of the current state of urban housing, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for creating sustainable and resilient housing solutions. Chapter One provides a comprehensive introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of terms. This chapter sets the foundation for the subsequent chapters by establishing the context and rationale for the research. Chapter Two delves into a thorough literature review, covering ten key themes related to sustainable and resilient urban housing developments. The literature review examines existing research, theories, and practices in the field, providing a comprehensive overview of the current knowledge and trends in sustainable urban housing design.
