The adaptive reuse of abandoned industrial buildings presents a promising solution for sustainable urban redevelopment. This research investigates the potential of repurposing these structures to address the challenges of urbanization, environmental conservation, and heritage preservation. The study aims to explore the benefits and challenges associated with adaptive reuse, examine successful case studies, and propose strategies for effective implementation in urban contexts. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to establish a theoretical framework and identify key factors influencing the adaptive reuse of industrial buildings. Primary data collection methods such as interviews, surveys, and site visits will be employed to gather insights from stakeholders involved in urban redevelopment projects. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review encompassing ten key themes related to adaptive reuse, sustainable urban development, heritage conservation, economic viability, and community engagement. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. The chapter also discusses the limitations and challenges encountered during the research process.
