The integration of nature into urban environments through biophilic design principles has gained prominence in the field of architecture as a means to enhance the well-being of inhabitants and promote sustainable development. This research project aims to analyze the application and impact of biophilic design principles in urban architecture settings. The study delves into the theoretical foundations of biophilic design, exploring its origins, key principles, and potential benefits in urban contexts. Through a comprehensive literature review, ten key themes related to biophilic design in urban architecture are identified and analyzed. The research methodology chapter outlines the approach taken to investigate the implementation of biophilic design principles in urban architectural projects. The methodology consists of a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The research design includes case studies of selected urban architectural projects that exemplify biophilic design principles, as well as surveys and interviews with architects, urban planners, and building occupants. The findings chapter presents a detailed analysis of the data collected through the research methodology. The discussion focuses on the successful integration of biophilic design elements in urban architecture, highlighting the positive impacts on user experience, environmental sustainability, and urban revitalization. The chapter also addresses challenges and limitations faced in implementing biophilic design principles in urban settings, offering insights into potential solutions and strategies for improvement.
