Vertical gardens have emerged as a potential solution to these challenges by providing a sustainable way to incorporate greenery into urban environments. This research project aims to explore the design aspects and environmental benefits of sustainable vertical gardens in urban settings. The study will investigate the integration of vertical gardens in buildings and public spaces, considering factors such as plant selection, irrigation systems, and maintenance practices to ensure their long-term sustainability. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, discussing the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing research on vertical gardens, sustainable architecture, urban greening, and related topics. This chapter will analyze the current trends, challenges, and best practices in designing sustainable vertical gardens in urban environments. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling strategy, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations. The chapter will detail how data will be collected through case studies, interviews, surveys, and observations to investigate the design and environmental aspects of vertical gardens.
