Archaeological sites play a crucial role in attracting tourists and enhancing tourism development in various regions around the world. This research project aims to investigate the impact of archaeological sites on tourism development in a specific region or country. By focusing on the relationship between archaeological sites and tourism, this study seeks to explore the significance of these historical sites in driving tourist interest, economic growth, and cultural preservation. The specific region or country chosen for this study will provide a unique context to examine the dynamics between archaeology and tourism, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities inherent in leveraging archaeological heritage for sustainable tourism development. The research will be guided by a comprehensive literature review that will explore existing studies, theories, and practices related to the interplay between archaeological sites and tourism. By examining previous research, this study aims to identify gaps in the current knowledge and contribute new insights to the field of archaeology and tourism studies. The literature review will also highlight the various factors that influence the impact of archaeological sites on tourism development, including accessibility, interpretation, conservation, and community engagement. The research methodology will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection methods to gather insights from both tourists and stakeholders involved in managing archaeological sites. Surveys, interviews, and site observations will be conducted to capture the perspectives of tourists visiting archaeological sites, as well as the views of local communities, government agencies, and heritage organizations responsible for site preservation and promotion.
