Project Abstract

Abstract
Cancer remains a significant global health challenge, with conventional treatments often causing adverse effects due to their lack of selectivity for cancer cells. As such, the development of targeted drug delivery systems has emerged as a promising approach to enhance the efficacy and reduce the side effects of cancer therapy. Nanoparticles have garnered considerable attention in this regard due to their unique properties that enable targeted delivery of therapeutic agents to cancer cells. This research project focuses on the development of a novel drug delivery system using nanoparticles for targeted cancer therapy. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, discussing the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two explores ten key studies on drug delivery systems and nanoparticle-based therapies for cancer treatment, highlighting the current state of the field and gaps that this research aims to address. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the selection of nanoparticles, drug loading techniques, characterization methods, in vitro and in vivo studies, and data analysis procedures. The methodology encompasses eight key components that guide the experimental design and implementation of the drug delivery system development.
