Abstract
The aim of this research study was to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Broiler production is a significant sector in the poultry industry, and optimizing feeding strategies can have a direct impact on the growth and profitability of broiler production operations. The study was conducted over a period of 12 weeks, during which broiler chickens were subjected to various feeding strategies, including different feed formulations, feeding frequencies, and feeding durations. The research was guided by the following objectives to evaluate the impact of different feed formulations on the growth performance of broiler chickens, to assess the effects of feeding frequencies on feed intake and weight gain, to determine the influence of feeding durations on feed conversion ratio, and to compare the overall growth performance of broiler chickens under different feeding strategies. The study also considered the economic implications of implementing these feeding strategies in a commercial broiler production setting. The methodology employed in this research involved a randomized controlled trial, where broiler chickens were allocated to different treatment groups based on the feeding strategies being tested. Data on feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and overall growth performance were collected and analyzed using statistical methods. Additionally, economic analyses were conducted to determine the cost-effectiveness of the different feeding strategies. The results of the study indicated that different feeding strategies had varying effects on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Certain feed formulations led to higher weight gains, while others were more efficient in terms of feed conversion. Feeding frequencies and durations also played a significant role in determining the overall growth performance of the broilers. Economic analyses revealed that certain feeding strategies were more cost-effective than others, highlighting the importance of optimizing feeding practices for commercial broiler production.
