Project Abstract

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on growth performance and nutrient utilization in broiler chickens. The research was conducted over a period of 12 weeks, with a total of 200 broiler chickens allocated to four different feeding groups. The feeding strategies included a standard commercial diet, a high-protein diet, a low-protein diet, and a diet supplemented with probiotics. Chapter One of the study provides an introduction to the research topic, background information on broiler chicken nutrition, a problem statement highlighting the importance of optimizing feeding strategies, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two consists of a comprehensive literature review covering various aspects of broiler chicken nutrition, feeding strategies, growth performance, and nutrient utilization. Chapter Three details the research methodology, including the study design, sample size determination, data collection methods, feeding protocols, and statistical analysis procedures. The study involved measuring parameters such as body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and nutrient digestibility to evaluate the impact of different feeding strategies on broiler chicken performance. Chapter Four presents the findings and discussion of the research results. The data analysis revealed significant differences in growth performance and nutrient utilization among the different feeding groups. Broiler chickens fed the high-protein diet demonstrated the highest body weight gain and feed conversion ratio, while those on the probiotic-supplemented diet showed improved nutrient digestibility. In Chapter Five, the conclusion and summary of the research are provided. The study concludes that feeding strategies have a substantial impact on growth performance and nutrient utilization in broiler chickens. The findings suggest that optimizing the dietary composition and incorporating probiotics can enhance broiler chicken productivity and efficiency. In conclusion, this research contributes valuable insights into the effects of different feeding strategies on broiler chicken performance. The study highlights the importance of tailored nutrition programs to maximize growth performance and nutrient utilization in poultry production systems. Further research is recommended to explore additional feeding strategies and their impacts on broiler chicken health and welfare.

Project Overview

The project titled "Effects of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance and Nutrient Utilization in Broiler Chickens" aims to investigate the impact of various feeding strategies on the growth performance and nutrient utilization of broiler chickens. Broiler chickens are one of the most commonly raised poultry species worldwide, primarily for meat production. The efficiency of feed utilization in broiler production is essential for maximizing growth performance, reducing production costs, and ensuring the sustainability of the poultry industry. The research will focus on comparing and analyzing different feeding strategies, including feed composition, feeding frequency, feeding methods, and feed additives, to determine their effects on the growth performance and nutrient utilization of broiler chickens. Growth performance parameters such as body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate will be assessed to evaluate the overall productivity of the birds under different feeding regimens. Nutrient utilization is a critical aspect of broiler production, as it directly influences the efficiency of feed conversion and the quality of meat produced. The project will investigate the utilization of key nutrients such as protein, energy, vitamins, and minerals by broiler chickens under different feeding strategies. By analyzing nutrient digestibility, metabolizable energy content, and nutrient retention, the study aims to identify the most efficient feeding practices for optimizing nutrient utilization and promoting healthy growth in broiler chickens. Understanding the effects of different feeding strategies on growth performance and nutrient utilization in broiler chickens is essential for poultry producers to make informed decisions regarding feed management practices. By elucidating the relationships between feed composition, feeding practices, and bird performance, the research aims to provide valuable insights that can help improve the efficiency and sustainability of broiler production systems. Overall, this project seeks to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in animal science and poultry nutrition by exploring the intricate interactions between feeding strategies, growth performance, and nutrient utilization in broiler chickens. The findings of this research have the potential to inform best practices in broiler production and support the development of sustainable and efficient feeding protocols for the poultry industry.
