Abstract
This research project investigates the effects of dietary supplementation with probiotics on growth performance in broiler chickens. The study aims to address the growing concern of enhancing poultry production efficiency while reducing the use of antibiotics in animal feed. Probiotics are live microorganisms that offer potential benefits to animal health and performance by modulating the gut microbiota and improving nutrient absorption. In this study, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to explore the existing knowledge on the use of probiotics in broiler chickens and their impact on growth performance. The research methodology involved a randomized controlled trial where broiler chickens were divided into two groups a control group receiving a standard diet and a treatment group supplemented with a probiotic mixture. Parameters such as body weight, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate were monitored throughout the study period. The data collected were analyzed using statistical methods to evaluate the differences in growth performance between the two groups. The findings of the study revealed that dietary supplementation with probiotics had a significant positive impact on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Chickens receiving probiotics exhibited higher body weight, improved feed conversion ratio, and lower mortality rates compared to the control group. These results suggest that probiotics can enhance nutrient utilization and overall health in broiler chickens, leading to improved growth performance and production efficiency. The discussion of the findings delves into the mechanisms by which probiotics exert their beneficial effects on broiler chickens, including their role in maintaining gut health, modulating the immune system, and enhancing nutrient absorption. In conclusion, this research project demonstrates the positive effects of dietary supplementation with probiotics on growth performance in broiler chickens. The study contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting the use of probiotics as a natural and effective strategy for improving poultry production efficiency and reducing reliance on antibiotics. Further research is recommended to explore optimal probiotic formulations and dosages for maximizing the benefits in broiler chicken production.
