Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for animal protein worldwide, with broiler chickens being a significant contributor. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of different diets on the growth and reproductive performance of broiler chickens. This research was conducted over a period of six months, involving a total of 300 broiler chickens divided into three groups, each fed a different diet. Chapter one of the study provides an introduction to the research topic, highlighting the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to broiler nutrition, growth, and reproductive physiology. Chapter three outlines the research methodology, including the experimental design, dietary treatments, sample collection, data analysis techniques, and statistical methods employed. The study design incorporated a randomized complete block design to minimize bias and ensure the reliability of the results. The research methodology also included measurements of growth parameters such as body weight gain, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio, as well as reproductive performance indicators like egg production and hatchability. In chapter four, the findings of the study are discussed in detail, focusing on the effects of different diets on growth and reproductive performance. The results revealed significant variations in growth parameters and reproductive outcomes among the three dietary groups. Analysis of variance indicated that diet composition had a profound impact on the growth rate, feed efficiency, egg production, and hatchability of broiler chickens. The conclusions drawn from the study underscore the importance of dietary management in optimizing the growth and reproductive performance of broiler chickens. The research findings suggest that specific dietary formulations can positively influence the growth and reproductive efficiency of broiler chickens, thereby enhancing the overall productivity and profitability of poultry production systems. In summary, this research contributes valuable insights into the effects of different diets on the growth and reproductive performance of broiler chickens. The findings provide practical recommendations for poultry farmers and nutritionists to optimize broiler production through strategic dietary management. Further research is warranted to explore additional factors influencing broiler performance and to enhance the sustainability of poultry production systems.
