Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in ensuring food security and economic development worldwide. Among poultry species, broiler chickens are extensively raised for meat production. The growth performance and carcass characteristics of broiler chickens are influenced by various factors, with feeding regimen being a critical determinant. This research project aims to investigate the effects of different feeding regimens on the growth performance and carcass characteristics of broiler chickens. The study will be conducted through a randomized controlled trial involving different feeding regimens, focusing on factors such as feed composition, feeding frequency, and feeding duration. A total of 300 broiler chickens will be assigned to different treatment groups, with each group receiving a specific feeding regimen. The growth performance parameters to be assessed include body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate, while carcass characteristics such as dressing percentage, breast muscle yield, and abdominal fat percentage will also be evaluated. Chapter 2 of the study will provide an extensive literature review covering relevant research on the impact of feeding regimens on broiler chicken growth and carcass characteristics. Chapter 3 will detail the research methodology, including the experimental design, sample collection, feeding protocols, and data analysis techniques. Chapter 4 will present a comprehensive discussion of the research findings, comparing the effects of different feeding regimens on the growth performance and carcass characteristics of broiler chickens. The significance of this research lies in its potential to contribute valuable insights to the poultry industry, helping farmers optimize feeding practices to enhance broiler chicken production efficiency and meat quality. The findings of this study are expected to provide practical recommendations for poultry farmers and nutritionists to improve the overall performance and profitability of broiler production systems.
