Project Abstract

Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for animal protein worldwide. Among poultry, broiler chickens are one of the most commonly raised species due to their rapid growth rate and efficient feed conversion. In this study, we investigated the effect of different feeding regimens on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The aim was to determine the most effective feeding regimen that would optimize growth performance while ensuring cost-efficiency for poultry farmers. The research was conducted over a period of 12 weeks, during which broiler chickens were divided into four groups based on their feeding regimens Group A received a standard commercial diet throughout the study period, Group B received a high-protein diet, Group C received a diet supplemented with vitamins and minerals, and Group D received a diet supplemented with probiotics. Various parameters were measured, including body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and overall health status. The results indicated that broiler chickens in Group D, which received a diet supplemented with probiotics, exhibited the highest growth performance compared to the other groups. These chickens showed a significant increase in body weight gain, improved feed conversion ratio, and overall better health status. In contrast, broiler chickens in Group B, which received a high-protein diet, showed moderate growth performance, while those in Group C, which received a diet supplemented with vitamins and minerals, showed marginal improvements compared to the control group (Group A). Furthermore, economic analysis revealed that the feeding regimen with probiotics supplementation (Group D) was not only effective in enhancing growth performance but also proved to be cost-effective for poultry farmers. The use of probiotics as a feed supplement resulted in reduced feed costs and improved profitability compared to other feeding regimens. In conclusion, the findings of this study suggest that incorporating probiotics into the diet of broiler chickens can significantly improve growth performance and overall health status. This research provides valuable insights for poultry farmers and industry stakeholders seeking to enhance the productivity and profitability of broiler chicken production through optimized feeding regimens. Further studies are recommended to explore the long-term effects and potential mechanisms underlying the beneficial effects of probiotics on broiler chicken growth performance.
