Abstract
This research project aims to investigate the effects of probiotics on the growth performance and health of broiler chickens. The use of probiotics in animal feed has gained significant attention in recent years due to their potential benefits in improving animal health and performance. In this study, a comprehensive review of existing literature on probiotics in poultry production will be conducted to provide a solid foundation for the research. The research methodology will involve conducting a controlled experiment with a sample of broiler chickens divided into two groups one group receiving a probiotic supplement in their feed and the other serving as a control group. Various parameters such as growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and health indicators will be measured and compared between the two groups over a specified period. Chapter One will provide an introduction to the research topic, background information on probiotics, the problem statement, objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two will consist of a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to probiotics in broiler chicken production, including their modes of action, benefits, and previous research findings. Chapter Three will detail the research methodology, including the experimental design, sample size determination, probiotic formulation, feeding regimen, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plan. This chapter will also outline the ethical considerations and animal welfare protocols followed during the study. Chapter Four will present the findings of the research, analyzing the effects of probiotics on the growth performance and health of the broiler chickens based on the collected data. The results will be discussed in detail, considering any significant differences between the probiotic group and the control group. Factors such as feed efficiency, mortality rates, and overall health status will be evaluated to determine the impact of probiotics on broiler chicken production. Chapter Five will provide a conclusion and summary of the research project, highlighting the key findings, implications, and potential recommendations for future studies in this area. The overall goal of this research project is to contribute to the existing knowledge on the use of probiotics in poultry production and to provide valuable insights into their effects on the growth performance and health of broiler chickens. By conducting a thorough investigation and analysis, this study aims to shed light on the potential benefits of probiotics and their practical application in improving animal welfare and productivity in the poultry industry.
