Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the increasing demand for high-quality protein sources worldwide. Among poultry species, broiler chickens are the most commonly raised for meat production. In order to optimize growth performance and overall productivity of broiler chickens, it is essential to carefully consider their feeding strategies. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research was conducted over a period of 12 weeks, during which a total of 300 broiler chickens were divided into three dietary treatment groups Group A received a commercial standard diet, Group B received an enriched diet with additional protein sources, and Group C received a diet supplemented with probiotics. The growth performance parameters assessed included body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. The results indicated that broiler chickens in Group B, which received the enriched diet with additional protein sources, exhibited significantly higher body weight gain compared to the other groups. Additionally, Group C, which received the diet supplemented with probiotics, showed improved feed conversion ratio and lower mortality rate. These findings suggest that modifying the dietary composition of broiler chickens can have a significant impact on their growth performance and overall health. Furthermore, the study identified some limitations, such as variations in environmental conditions and genetic factors that may have influenced the results. The scope of the study was limited to a specific feeding period and may not fully capture the long-term effects of the different feeding strategies on broiler chickens. Despite these limitations, the significance of this research lies in providing valuable insights into optimizing feeding strategies to enhance the growth performance of broiler chickens. In conclusion, the findings of this study highlight the importance of carefully selecting and implementing appropriate feeding strategies to maximize the growth performance of broiler chickens. Future research could focus on exploring additional dietary supplements or alternative feeding approaches to further improve the productivity and welfare of broiler chickens in the poultry industry.
