Project Abstract

Abstract
The aging population is continuously growing, leading to an increased prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders, particularly osteoporosis, among older adults. Physical activity has long been recognized as a crucial factor in maintaining bone health and preventing bone-related diseases. This comparative study aims to investigate the impact of physical activity on bone health in older adults, with a focus on comparing the bone density and overall bone health status between physically active and sedentary older individuals. The study will commence with a comprehensive review of relevant literature concerning the relationship between physical activity and bone health in the aging population. Various studies and theories highlighting the mechanisms through which physical activity influences bone health will be examined. Additionally, the role of nutrition, genetics, and other lifestyle factors in bone health will be explored to provide a holistic understanding of the subject matter. Methodologically, this research will adopt a comparative study design, involving a sample of older adults aged 60 years and above.
