Project Abstract

Abstract
This research project aims to assess the weight gain differences between indigenous and exotic breeds of broiler chickens. The study involves monitoring and comparing the growth rates of two groups of broilers, one consisting of indigenous breeds and the other of exotic breeds. The experiment will be conducted over a period of 8 weeks, during which the weight gain of the broilers will be measured at regular intervals. The primary objective of this research is to determine whether there is a significant difference in weight gain between indigenous and exotic breeds of broilers. By analyzing the data collected throughout the study, we aim to draw conclusions regarding the growth potential and efficiency of these two types of broiler chickens. The research will be carried out in a controlled environment to ensure that external factors do not influence the results. Each group of broilers will be provided with the same feed, water, and housing conditions to eliminate any potential biases in the study. The weight of the broilers will be measured using a digital scale to ensure accuracy and consistency in the data. The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on poultry farming and breeding practices. Understanding the weight gain differences between indigenous and exotic breeds of broilers can help farmers make informed decisions regarding the selection of breeds for their poultry operations. By identifying which type of broiler chickens exhibit superior growth rates, farmers can optimize their production processes and improve overall profitability. In conclusion, this research project aims to assess the weight gain differences between indigenous and exotic breeds of broiler chickens over an 8-week period. By conducting a comparative analysis of the growth rates of these two groups, we seek to provide valuable insights into the performance and efficiency of different broiler breeds. The results of this study have the potential to inform poultry farmers and breeders about the best practices for maximizing weight gain in broiler chickens, ultimately leading to more sustainable and profitable poultry production systems.
