Project Abstract

<p>Agricultural structures like farm ponds, vermicompost pits, and storage structures are essential infrastructure components for smallholder farms. However, the high costs of construction often limit widespread adoption, especially among marginal farmers. This project aims to develop low-cost design options for various agricultural structures utilizing locally available and affordable materials. Structures will be designed, fabricated and tested for strength, durability and functionality. Cost-benefit analysis will provide insights into the economic viability and adoption potential of these low-cost designs. The outcomes could help expand access to critical farm infrastructure and support more sustainable agricultural practices.<br><br><br></p>
