This research study aims to assess the impact of mobile phone technology on agricultural extension services in rural communities. The study will explore the background of mobile phone technology adoption in agricultural extension, the current challenges faced by traditional extension services, and the potential benefits of incorporating mobile phone technology. The research will analyze the problem statement which highlights the gap in access to timely and relevant agricultural information among rural farmers. The objectives of the study include evaluating the effectiveness of mobile phone technology in improving communication between extension workers and farmers, assessing the level of adoption and utilization of mobile phone technology in rural areas, and identifying the constraints and limitations associated with mobile phone-based extension services. The study will be conducted within a defined scope, focusing on selected rural communities where mobile phone technology has been introduced as part of agricultural extension initiatives. The significance of this research lies in its potential to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of extension services, ultimately contributing to improved agricultural productivity and livelihoods in rural areas.
