This research study aims to investigate the impact of mobile phone technology on agricultural extension services in rural communities. With the increasing availability and affordability of mobile phones, there is a growing interest in utilizing this technology to improve agricultural extension services and enhance communication between farmers and extension agents. This study will explore how mobile phone technology is currently being used in agricultural extension services in rural communities and evaluate its effectiveness in improving access to information, knowledge sharing, and decision-making processes among farmers. The research will begin with a comprehensive review of the literature on mobile phone technology and agricultural extension services, examining previous studies and initiatives that have utilized mobile phones for agricultural development. The study will also analyze the current challenges and limitations faced by rural communities in accessing agricultural extension services and how mobile phone technology can help address these issues. Through a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions, data will be collected from farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders in rural communities.
