This research project investigates the utilization of mobile technology as a tool to enhance farm extension services in rural communities. The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the economy of many developing countries, with smallholder farmers being the backbone of agricultural production. However, these farmers often face challenges accessing timely and relevant agricultural information and advisory services. The objective of this study is to explore how mobile technology can be effectively utilized to bridge the information gap and improve the delivery of extension services to rural farmers. The study begins with an introduction that provides an overview of the importance of agricultural extension services in supporting smallholder farmers and the potential benefits of incorporating mobile technology into extension programs. The background of the study highlights the current state of agricultural extension services in rural communities and the limitations faced by farmers in accessing information and advisory services. The problem statement identifies the gaps in the existing extension services and the need for innovative solutions to improve outreach and effectiveness.
