This research study investigates the potential of utilizing mobile technology to enhance agricultural extension services in rural communities. The aim is to address the challenges faced by farmers in accessing timely and relevant agricultural information and resources. The research is motivated by the increasing penetration of mobile phones in rural areas and the need to leverage this technology to bridge the gap between extension services and farmers. The study will explore the current practices of agricultural extension services in rural communities, identify the key issues and limitations, and propose a mobile technology-based solution to improve the dissemination of agricultural knowledge and resources. The research methodology will involve a combination of literature review, field surveys, interviews with farmers and extension workers, and pilot testing of the proposed mobile application. The anticipated outcomes include improved access to agricultural information, enhanced communication between farmers and extension services, increased adoption of modern farming practices, and ultimately, improved agricultural productivity in rural communities.
