Agricultural extension services play a crucial role in disseminating information and knowledge to farmers, enabling them to improve their agricultural practices and enhance productivity. However, in many rural communities, access to such services is limited due to various constraints. This research project focuses on the utilization of mobile technology as a means to improve access to agricultural extension services in rural communities. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of mobile technology in bridging the gap between extension services and farmers, thereby enhancing agricultural development in rural areas. The research will begin with a comprehensive introduction that outlines the background of the study, identifies the problem statement, states the objectives of the study, discusses the limitations and scope of the research, highlights the significance of the study, and provides an overview of the research structure. The definition of key terms related to the project topic will also be provided to ensure clarity and understanding. Chapter two will present a detailed literature review covering ten key areas related to agricultural extension services, mobile technology in agriculture, and the challenges and opportunities of using mobile technology for extension services in rural communities. This review will provide a theoretical framework for the study and establish the foundation for the research methodology. Chapter three will focus on the research methodology, outlining the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. The chapter will also discuss the selection of study participants, the development of research instruments, and the overall approach to data collection and analysis. Chapter four will present the findings of the research, based on the data collected and analyzed.
