The rapid advancement of mobile technology has opened up new opportunities to enhance agricultural extension services in rural communities. This research project aims to assess the impact of mobile technology on agricultural extension services in rural communities, focusing on how the adoption of mobile technology can improve communication, knowledge sharing, and access to information among farmers and extension agents. The study will explore the current challenges faced by agricultural extension services in rural areas and investigate how mobile technology solutions can address these challenges and improve service delivery. The research will be guided by a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. Surveys will be conducted to gather information on the current use of mobile technology in agricultural extension services, as well as the preferences and needs of farmers and extension agents. In-depth interviews and focus group discussions will provide insights into the perceptions and experiences of key stakeholders regarding the benefits and challenges of integrating mobile technology into agricultural extension services. The literature review will examine existing studies and theoretical frameworks related to mobile technology adoption in agriculture and agricultural extension services. This will provide a comprehensive understanding of the potential impact of mobile technology on improving agricultural extension services and empowering rural communities. The research methodology will include data collection, analysis, and interpretation to assess the impact of mobile technology on agricultural extension services in rural communities. Key themes such as communication, knowledge sharing, access to information, and capacity building will be explored to evaluate the effectiveness of mobile technology solutions in enhancing agricultural extension services.
