Access to agricultural information and knowledge sharing are crucial for smallholder farmers in rural communities to improve their farming practices and overall productivity. In recent years, the use of mobile technology has gained traction as a tool for disseminating information and facilitating knowledge sharing among farmers. This research aims to assess the impact of mobile technology on knowledge sharing among smallholder farmers in rural communities, with a focus on understanding how mobile technology influences information access, communication, and collaboration among farmers. The study will be conducted through a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with smallholder farmers in selected rural communities. The research will begin with a comprehensive literature review to explore existing studies on the use of mobile technology for agricultural extension services and knowledge sharing. The literature review will provide a theoretical framework for understanding the potential impact of mobile technology on knowledge sharing among smallholder farmers. The research methodology will involve surveying a sample of smallholder farmers to gather data on their access to mobile technology, usage patterns, and preferences for receiving agricultural information.
