The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the economic development of many countries, especially in rural communities where agriculture is a primary source of livelihood. Agricultural extension services are essential in disseminating valuable information and knowledge to farmers, enabling them to adopt modern practices and technologies for improved productivity and sustainability. With the advancement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), there is a growing interest in exploring how these technologies can enhance agricultural extension services in rural communities. This research study aims to investigate the impact of Information and Communication Technologies on agricultural extension services in rural communities. The study will focus on assessing the current use of ICTs in agricultural extension services, identifying the benefits and challenges associated with their implementation, and exploring the perceptions of farmers and extension workers towards ICT-based extension services. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter two comprises a comprehensive literature review that examines existing studies and theories related to ICTs in agricultural extension services. In chapter three, the research methodology will be outlined, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The chapter will also discuss ethical considerations and limitations of the research. Chapter four will present the findings of the study based on the data collected and analyzed.
