Abstract
Climate change is a global phenomenon that has significantly impacted agricultural productivity in various regions. This research focuses on investigating the specific impacts of climate change on agricultural productivity in a particular region. The study aims to provide insights into the challenges faced by farmers in adapting to changing climatic conditions and to explore potential strategies to enhance agricultural resilience in the face of climate change. The research methodology involves a comprehensive review of existing literature on climate change and its effects on agriculture, as well as primary data collection through surveys and interviews with local farmers and agricultural experts in the selected region. The data collected will be analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods to identify key trends and patterns related to the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity. The findings of the study reveal that climate change has led to an increase in extreme weather events such as droughts, floods, and heatwaves, which have adversely affected crop yields and livestock production in the region. Farmers have reported challenges in adapting to these changing conditions, including crop failures, loss of income, and increased vulnerability to food insecurity. Based on the research findings, several recommendations are proposed to enhance agricultural resilience to climate change in the region. These include promoting the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices, improving access to weather information and early warning systems, and supporting farmers in diversifying their livelihoods to reduce dependence on climate-sensitive crops. Overall, this research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity and provides valuable insights for policymakers, agricultural extension services, and farmers in developing strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change on agriculture. By understanding the specific challenges faced by farmers in the selected region, this study aims to support the development of targeted interventions to build resilience and ensure sustainable agricultural development in the face of climate change.
