Climate change poses significant challenges to smallholder farmers in developing countries, impacting their livelihoods, agricultural productivity, and overall well-being. This research aims to assess the economic impact of climate change on smallholder farmers in developing countries, focusing on key factors such as income, food security, and adaptation strategies. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of household survey data with qualitative insights from interviews and focus group discussions. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and key definitions of terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review, analyzing existing studies on the economic impact of climate change on smallholder farmers, adaptation strategies, and policy interventions. In Chapter 3, the research methodology is detailed, including the research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and analytical frameworks. The chapter also discusses ethical considerations and challenges encountered during the research process.
