Project This project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of agricultural subsidy policies in enhancing the productivity and livelihoods of smallholder farmers in a developing country context. Smallholder farmers play a crucial role in global food production, yet they often face significant challenges in terms of access to resources, technology, and markets, which can limit their productivity and income. Agricultural subsidy policies have been implemented in many countries as a means of supporting and empowering these farmers, but the impact of such policies has been mixed and often poorly understood. The primary objective of this project is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of agricultural subsidy policies in improving the productivity and livelihoods of smallholder farmers. The study will focus on a specific developing country, examining the design, implementation, and outcomes of the existing subsidy programs. The research will involve a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, including surveys, interviews, and analysis of secondary data, to gather insights from both policymakers and the beneficiaries of the subsidy programs.
