The increasing availability and accessibility of online learning platforms have revolutionized educational practices, offering new opportunities for adult learners to enhance their literacy skills. This research project aims to explore the effectiveness of utilizing online learning platforms in improving adult literacy skills. The study will investigate how various online tools and resources can be leveraged to cater to the diverse needs of adult learners seeking to enhance their literacy abilities. The research will begin with a comprehensive review of existing literature, examining the theoretical foundations and empirical evidence related to adult literacy education and online learning platforms. This review will provide a detailed analysis of the key factors influencing the effectiveness of online learning in adult education, as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with this mode of instruction. Subsequently, the research methodology will be outlined, detailing the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques that will be employed to investigate the research questions. The study will utilize both qualitative and quantitative research approaches to gather data from adult learners engaged in online literacy programs, as well as educators and administrators involved in designing and implementing these programs. The findings of the research will be presented and discussed in Chapter Four, highlighting the impact of online learning platforms on adult literacy skills development. The analysis will explore the effectiveness of different types of online tools and resources in supporting adult learners, as well as the factors that contribute to successful learning outcomes in online literacy programs. The discussion will also address the challenges and limitations encountered in utilizing online platforms for adult education, along with recommendations for improving the design and delivery of online literacy programs. In conclusion, the research findings will be summarized and implications for practice and future research will be discussed in Chapter Five. The study aims to contribute valuable insights to the field of adult education by highlighting the potential of online learning platforms to enhance adult literacy skills and improve educational outcomes for diverse learner populations.
