Project Abstract

This project aims to explore and implement innovative adult learning strategies to enhance the effectiveness of professional development programs for working professionals. In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, ongoing professional development has become crucial for individuals to stay relevant, acquire new skills, and adapt to changing job requirements. However, traditional training methods often fall short in engaging adult learners and achieving the desired learning outcomes. This project seeks to address this challenge by investigating and incorporating best practices in adult learning theory to design and deliver more engaging and impactful professional development initiatives. The project will begin with a comprehensive literature review to identify the key principles of adult learning, such as self-directed learning, relevance-oriented content, problem-centered approaches, and the incorporation of learners' prior experiences. This theoretical foundation will then be used to inform the development of a series of professional development workshops and programs tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of adult learners.
