Project Abstract

<p>English proficiency has become essential for social and economic participation in most countries around the world. This project aims to study adult education programs and approaches for teaching English as a second language to immigrant and refugee communities. It will examine the needs and challenges of adult English language learners as well as methods, materials and best practices used in teaching English. The effectiveness of different program models in various contexts will be analyzed. The study also explores community partnerships that support adult ESL education and the impact of language acquisition on learner empowerment, employment and integration outcomes. <br><br><br></p>
