Project Abstract

<p>This research project aims to investigate the role of adult education in promoting sustainable development. Sustainable development is a global priority, and adult education plays a crucial role in raising awareness, building capacity, and fostering sustainable practices among adults. However, there is a need to explore the specific contributions and challenges of adult education in this context.<br><br>The research will involve a comprehensive literature review to examine the conceptual framework of sustainable development and the theoretical perspectives on adult education's role in promoting sustainability. It will also analyze existing adult education programs and initiatives that focus on sustainable development to identify best practices and lessons learned.<br><br>The research methodology will include qualitative interviews with adult learners, educators, and policymakers to gain insights into their experiences, perceptions, and recommendations regarding the role of adult education in promoting sustainable development. Additionally, quantitative surveys will be conducted to gather data on the effectiveness and impact of adult education programs in fostering sustainable practices.<br><br>The findings of this research will contribute to the existing knowledge on the role of adult education in sustainable development and provide practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and program developers. Ultimately, this research aims to enhance the understanding and implementation of adult education as a catalyst for sustainable development at local, national, and global levels. <br></p>
