Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on chronic disease management in elderly patients through a comparative study. The global population is aging rapidly, leading to an increased prevalence of chronic diseases among the elderly. Telemedicine, which involves the use of technology to deliver healthcare services remotely, has emerged as a promising solution to improve access to care for this vulnerable population. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of telemedicine interventions in the management of chronic diseases in elderly patients, comparing traditional in-person care with remote telehealth services. The research methodology involves a comparative analysis of existing literature, case studies, and empirical data to assess the outcomes of telemedicine interventions in chronic disease management among elderly patients. Chapter two provides an extensive review of the literature on telemedicine, chronic disease management, and the specific needs of elderly patients. Chapter three details the research methodology, including data collection methods, sample selection, and analysis techniques. Findings from the study are discussed in chapter four, highlighting the advantages and limitations of telemedicine in managing chronic diseases in elderly patients.
