Telemedicine has emerged as a valuable tool in healthcare, offering innovative solutions to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and patients in remote or underserved areas. This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on patient care in a rural community setting. The study aims to investigate how telemedicine interventions can improve access to healthcare services, enhance patient outcomes, and optimize the delivery of care in rural communities. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review to examine existing studies on telemedicine in rural healthcare settings. This review encompasses various aspects of telemedicine implementation, including technological advancements, patient satisfaction, healthcare provider perspectives, and the challenges faced in rural areas. The study also involves primary data collection through interviews with healthcare professionals, patients, and telemedicine service providers in a selected rural community. Findings from the study reveal that telemedicine has a significant positive impact on patient care in rural communities. Improved access to healthcare services, timely consultations, reduced travel time and costs, and increased patient engagement are among the key benefits identified.
