Telemedicine, the use of technology to provide healthcare remotely, has gained significant attention in recent years for its potential to improve access to healthcare services, particularly in rural communities. This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on patient care in rural communities from a nursing perspective. The study aims to investigate how telemedicine interventions influence patient care outcomes, healthcare delivery, and nursing practice in rural settings. A mixed-methods research approach will be employed to collect and analyze data, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with healthcare providers and patients in rural areas. The literature review reveals a gap in understanding the specific effects of telemedicine on patient care in rural communities, highlighting the need for further empirical research in this area.
