Abstract
Telehealth, the use of technology to deliver healthcare services remotely, has gained significant attention in recent years for its potential to improve patient care and healthcare provider satisfaction. This thesis investigates the impact of telehealth on patient care and nurse satisfaction in a community hospital setting. The study aims to explore how telehealth interventions affect patient outcomes, the quality of care provided, and the job satisfaction of nurses in a community hospital environment. The research methodology employed in this study includes a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews. A sample of patients receiving telehealth services and nurses delivering care through telehealth will be recruited from a community hospital. Data will be collected on patient health outcomes, satisfaction levels, nurse workload, and job satisfaction before and after the implementation of telehealth services. The literature review highlights the benefits and challenges of telehealth in various healthcare settings, emphasizing the importance of patient-centered care and effective communication in telehealth interventions. Theoretical frameworks such as the Technology Acceptance Model and the Job Demands-Resources Model will be utilized to understand the factors influencing the adoption of telehealth and its impact on nurse satisfaction. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of telehealth in improving patient care and nurse satisfaction in a community hospital setting. The results will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on telehealth implementation and inform healthcare organizations on best practices for integrating telehealth into their services. In conclusion, this thesis aims to address the gap in research on the impact of telehealth on patient care and nurse satisfaction in a community hospital setting. By examining the experiences of patients and nurses with telehealth services, this study seeks to provide evidence-based recommendations for optimizing telehealth interventions to enhance patient outcomes and nurse job satisfaction.
