This thesis examines the impact of telemedicine on patient satisfaction and health outcomes in home healthcare settings. The use of telemedicine has been rapidly expanding in recent years, offering a range of benefits including increased access to care, improved monitoring of chronic conditions, and enhanced communication between patients and healthcare providers. However, there is a need to assess the specific effects of telemedicine on patient satisfaction and health outcomes in the context of home-based care. The study is guided by the following objectives to explore the background and rationale for using telemedicine in home healthcare settings, to identify the key challenges and limitations associated with telemedicine adoption, to investigate the impact of telemedicine on patient satisfaction, to assess the influence of telemedicine on health outcomes, and to determine the significance of telemedicine in improving overall healthcare delivery. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to examine existing research on telemedicine in home healthcare, patient satisfaction, and health outcomes. The review identified key themes related to the benefits and challenges of telemedicine implementation, as well as the factors influencing patient satisfaction and health outcomes in home-based care settings. The research methodology involved a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and data analysis. A sample of home healthcare patients and providers participated in the study, providing insights into their experiences with telemedicine and its impact on satisfaction and health outcomes. The findings of the study revealed that telemedicine has a positive impact on patient satisfaction in home healthcare settings, with the majority of participants reporting high levels of satisfaction with the care they received through telemedicine.
