Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution to bridge the gap in healthcare access for individuals residing in rural communities. This thesis investigates the impact of telemedicine on patient care from a nursing perspective in rural areas. The study aims to explore how telemedicine influences patient care outcomes, healthcare delivery, and the overall patient experience in underserved rural communities. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study identified key factors affecting the adoption and effectiveness of telemedicine in rural healthcare settings. The findings highlight the benefits of telemedicine, such as improved access to healthcare services, reduced healthcare disparities, and enhanced patient outcomes. In the discussion of findings, the thesis delves into the challenges and limitations of telemedicine implementation in rural communities, including technological barriers, regulatory issues, and resource constraints.
