Abstract
The utilization of telehealth in healthcare has transformed the way chronic diseases are managed, particularly in the older adult population. This systematic review explores the impact of telehealth interventions on chronic disease management in older adults. The study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of existing literature to evaluate the effectiveness, challenges, and implications of telehealth in this specific demographic. Chapter One provides an introduction to the topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two consists of a thorough literature review covering ten key aspects related to telehealth and chronic disease management in older adults. Chapter Three details the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations. This chapter aims to provide insight into the systematic approach used to gather and analyze data for this study. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings obtained from the systematic review. It includes an in-depth analysis of the effectiveness of telehealth interventions, challenges faced in implementation, outcomes achieved, and the overall impact on chronic disease management in older adults. Chapter Five serves as the conclusion and summary of the thesis.
