**Abstract
** Drug-resistant bacteria pose a significant threat to public health, leading to an urgent need for alternative antimicrobial agents. This thesis investigates the antimicrobial properties of natural plant extracts against drug-resistant bacteria. The study aims to identify potential plant-derived compounds that can effectively inhibit the growth of drug-resistant bacterial strains. The research methodology involved the extraction of bioactive compounds from various plants, followed by screening for antimicrobial activity against a panel of drug-resistant bacterial strains. The results revealed promising antimicrobial effects of several plant extracts, indicating their potential as alternative treatments for drug-resistant infections. The literature review discusses previous studies on the antimicrobial properties of natural plant extracts, highlighting the diverse mechanisms by which these compounds exert their antimicrobial effects. This comprehensive review provides a theoretical framework for understanding the potential of plant-derived compounds as antimicrobial agents.
