This thesis investigates the impact of different types of toothbrushes on plaque removal efficiency, aiming to provide valuable insights that can enhance oral hygiene practices and contribute to better overall dental health. The study involves a comprehensive literature review of existing research on toothbrush design, bristle types, and brushing techniques in relation to plaque removal efficacy. Additionally, an experimental research methodology is employed to compare the effectiveness of manual, electric, and sonic toothbrushes in removing plaque from simulated tooth surfaces. The research findings reveal significant variations in plaque removal efficiency among different types of toothbrushes. Electric toothbrushes are found to be more effective in removing plaque compared to manual toothbrushes, with sonic toothbrushes demonstrating the highest efficiency in plaque removal.
