Effective plaque removal is crucial for maintaining oral health and preventing dental diseases. This thesis aims to assess the efficacy of different toothbrushing techniques in plaque removal. The study involves a comprehensive literature review to explore existing knowledge on various toothbrushing methods and their impact on plaque removal. Additionally, a research methodology is developed to conduct experiments comparing the efficacy of manual toothbrushing, electric toothbrushing, and specialized toothbrushing techniques. Chapter One introduces the background of the study, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, and defines key terms. Chapter Two provides a detailed literature review on the importance of plaque removal, the mechanisms of plaque formation, different toothbrushing techniques, and their effectiveness in removing plaque. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the study design, participant selection criteria, experimental procedures, data collection methods, and statistical analysis.
