Abstract
This thesis presents a comprehensive investigation into the effectiveness of silver diamine fluoride (SDF) in managing dental caries in pediatric patients. Dental caries is a prevalent oral health issue among children worldwide, leading to pain, infection, and impaired quality of life. SDF has emerged as a promising non-invasive treatment option for arresting carious lesions and preventing further decay progression. However, there is a need for robust scientific evidence to support its widespread clinical use, particularly in pediatric populations. The research begins with a thorough review of the literature, highlighting the background and significance of the study. Various studies on the use of SDF in managing dental caries in children are critically analyzed to provide a comprehensive understanding of its efficacy and safety profile. The methodology section outlines the research design, sample selection criteria, data collection methods, and statistical analysis techniques employed in the study. Data collection involves the examination of pediatric patients with dental caries lesions who receive treatment with SDF in a clinical setting.
