Abstract
Tooth discoloration is a common aesthetic concern among individuals, leading to an increasing demand for whitening treatments. This thesis aims to assess the efficacy of different whitening agents in treating tooth discoloration. The study involved a comprehensive literature review to establish the background and rationale for investigating various whitening agents. Ten items were identified through the literature review process, providing insight into the current understanding of tooth discoloration and treatment options. The research methodology chapter outlines the approach taken to evaluate the efficacy of different whitening agents. Eight key components were considered in the research methodology, including sample selection, study design, data collection methods, and statistical analysis techniques. The study utilized a randomized controlled trial design to compare the effectiveness of various whitening agents in achieving tooth discoloration improvement. Findings from the study are discussed in detail in the fourth chapter, highlighting the outcomes of the comparative analysis of different whitening agents. The results indicate variations in efficacy among the whitening agents tested, with some demonstrating superior outcomes in tooth discoloration reduction compared to others. Factors such as concentration, application method, and treatment duration were found to influence the effectiveness of the whitening agents.
