Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of mobile applications on oral health awareness and practices among adolescents. In recent years, the use of mobile applications for health education and promotion has gained significant attention globally. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of mobile applications in improving oral health behaviors among adolescents, considering their unique preferences and engagement with technology. The research methodology involved a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from a sample of adolescents aged 13-19 years. The findings revealed a positive correlation between the use of oral health mobile applications and improved awareness, knowledge, and practices among adolescents. Factors influencing the adoption and utilization of mobile applications for oral health education were also explored, including usability, content relevance, and interactivity. The implications of these findings highlight the potential of mobile applications as a valuable tool for promoting oral health behavior change in the adolescent population. This study contributes to the existing body of literature on digital health interventions and provides insights for policymakers, healthcare providers, and app developers seeking to enhance oral health education and practices among adolescents using mobile technology.
