Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of various orthodontic treatment techniques on improving facial aesthetics in adult patients. The study aims to address the increasing demand for orthodontic treatment among adults seeking not only functional but also aesthetic improvements in their smiles. The research methodology involved a comprehensive literature review to examine existing orthodontic treatment modalities and their effects on facial aesthetics, followed by a clinical study to compare the outcomes of different techniques. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, discussing the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. The literature review in Chapter Two covers ten key aspects related to orthodontic treatment techniques, including traditional braces, clear aligners, lingual braces, orthognathic surgery, and more. Chapter Three details the research methodology, outlining the study design, participant selection criteria, data collection methods, analysis techniques, ethical considerations, and limitations of the study. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings, comparing the effectiveness of various orthodontic treatment techniques in enhancing facial aesthetics in adult patients.
