Abstract
The project aims to investigate the impact of social media usage on mental health among teenagers. With the rapid increase in social media platforms, teenagers are spending a significant amount of time engaging with these platforms daily. This study will explore how excessive social media use can lead to various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. The research will involve surveying teenagers to gather data on their social media habits, mental health status, and perceptions of how social media affects their well-being. Additionally, interviews with mental health professionals will provide insights into the potential risks associated with social media use in this age group. By analyzing the data collected, this project seeks to uncover the relationship between social media usage and mental health outcomes in teenagers. The findings of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the impact of social media on the mental well-being of teenagers and can inform strategies for promoting healthy social media use among this vulnerable population.
