Thesis Abstract

This research project seeks to assess the impact of various types of mouthguards on oral health, with a focus on their effectiveness in preventing orofacial injuries during sports activities and nighttime bruxism. The study will involve a comparative analysis of custom-fitted mouthguards, boil-and-bite mouthguards, stock mouthguards, and specialized mouthguards for bruxism. Through clinical evaluations and patient-reported outcomes, the project aims to provide evidence-based recommendations for the selection and use of mouthguards to promote oral health and injury prevention.
