The use of body-worn cameras (BWCs) by law enforcement agencies has become increasingly prevalent in recent years, with the aim of enhancing transparency, accountability, and trust in police-community interactions. This thesis examines the impact of BWCs on police-community interactions from a criminological perspective. The study seeks to investigate how the adoption of BWCs influences the behavior of both police officers and members of the community, as well as its implications for crime prevention and public safety. The research begins with a comprehensive literature review that explores existing studies on the effectiveness of BWCs in improving police accountability, reducing the use of force, and enhancing community perceptions of law enforcement. Drawing on criminological theories and empirical evidence, the review highlights the potential benefits and challenges associated with the implementation of BWC programs. The methodology chapter outlines the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques employed in this study.
